For the past three years at the NSRA Street Rod Nationals, the NSRA has given away a car as a prize to one lucky winner. For folks that don’t know, the Street Rod Nationals is one of the biggest shows in the country and it happens in Louisville, Kentucky at the Kentucky Exposition Center. The show is so big in fact, that even in 4 days’ time you probably won’t be able to see all of the cars there. The turnout this year was somewhere in the range of 15,000 cars registered and around 70,000 spectators.

In 2014, the NSRA plans to team up with Jonathan Goolsby of Goolsby Customs. Goolsby has participated in a number of events and will be working on a 1932 Hi-Boy roadster pickup to give away to one lucky winner.

If you haven’t been to the Street Rod Nationals in Kentucky, a winner simply needs to register their car, and they’re automatically entered in for the drawing. The winner must be present for the drawing in order to win the car.

Goolsby started officially in 2005, the history of quality workmanship and cutting edge designs started long before that.  Jonathan Goolsby has been customizing anything he could get his hands on for more than twenty years, starting at home in the garage, then, as the head painter for the local Chevrolet dealership for more than twelve years.  During this time many friendships were born and many custom cars built for both a growing customer base as well as many of his own personal vehicles. Along this time Jonathan Goolsby and Josh Henning began a friendship which turned into a collaboration of building many high profile custom cars and trucks for sponsor companies, magazine features and covers as well several SEMA show builds. In late 2004 the allure of owning their own business along with the realization that in order to continue to "up the ante" on their quality of craftsmanship Jonathan and Vonda Goolsby decided to jump with both feet in and open Goolsby Customs. For the past six years they have worked together along with a talented staff of employees to build a strong customer base that is growing everyday along with a level of excellence that is hard to find in this industry.
