Terryƒ's Kustom Auto originated in Sherwood, Oregon in 1976. In recent years itƒ's been a full-time business with 2-4 employees based on the availability of the right talent for the work itself. But earlier it was at times a part-time business as Terry did other work: managing the body shop at a local Chevrolet dealership and for 18 years doing specialty car appraising and other work for The Hartford and Safeco insurance companies.

In the 1970ƒ's and 1980ƒ's Terryƒ's Kustom did a lot of work on custom vans: graphics, candies, and murals. The workload gradually shifted toward gray-market cars from Europe ƒ Aston Martins and Jaguars ƒ along with restorations, including several Cobras. Terry later helped launch the SoCal Speed Shop now in Tualatin, and then seven years ago moved into the 5,700 square foot facility, our current location. Through all the years the main thing that stands out is Terryƒ's passion for the automobile and his ability to channel his technical and artistic talent, sharing it with others.
