NHRA fans flock to Brainerd International Raceway every year for the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals. This race delivers thrilling racing action and some of the best camping on the NHRA tour, as “The Zoo,” provides unique and memorable camaraderie for racegoers and racers alike.
At center stage of the 42nd Annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals is four days of ground-pounding, lightning-fast, blow-your-mind drag racing. Every household name in drag racing competes at the NHRA Nationals on BIR’s world-renown track – the fastest drag strip in the country. Last year, the Top Fuel and Funny Car national records were shattered, and for the first time in NHRA history, a pair of women drivers won the Top Fuel and Funny Car classes.
