Powermaster Performance is pleased to extend their line of PowerMAX Plus replacement starters to include even more domestic V-8 applications. The PowerMAX Plus series of starters offer higher torque in a direct bolt-on package at a very competitive price point.
The starters are designed to replace the OEM Hitachi style starter but have been engineered to handle the higher torque requirements of performance built engines. Each starter features all new components including an efficient motor assembly and a uniquely designed solenoid that is capable of handling 12-16 volts. Powermaster also incorporates a heavy duty clutch assembly for greater reliability on higher output engines.
There are three versions available depending on the compression of your engine; up to 11:1, up to 14:1, and a high torque version for engines up to 16:1. Models are available most popular domestic engines the GM LS platform, small and big block Chevy and Ford, the Coyote as well as for Chrysler applications.
The starters are designed to bolt in place of the factory units and for installations on engine transplants or with headers, the billet mounting block of the starter has provisions to clock the motor assembly for additional clearance. For engines under 11:1 compression, the PowerMAX Plus is actually smaller and lighter than the stock unit!
Every PowerMAX Plus Starter is dyno tested and shipped with its own proof of performance dyno sheet, detailed instructions and new mounting hardware (where applicable).
