Griffey’s Hot Rod’s and Restorations

Larry Griffeyƒ's Hot Rods and Restorations was founded in 1982 in Powell, Tennessee as a one man operation. I started out doing sheet metal fabrication, body work and custom painting.

Over the 27 years we have been in business, our shop has evolved into a full service Hot Rod and Restoration Facility with several full time employees. In 2005 we moved to our new larger facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. At this location we are better able to provide project design from beginning to completion, fabrication, chassis set up, English Wheel work, custom painting and body work, full assembly, detailing and repairs to everything from award winning hot rods, muscle cars, vintage and classic car restorations, to cosmetic updating of your weekend cruiser.

We are proud to say that our projects have won such awards as the N.S.R.A. Pro’s Pick, Boyd’s Pro’s Pick, Detroit Autorama “Ridler Great Eight”, First place Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Goodguy’s Pro’s Pick, Antique Automobile Club of America Junior and Senior first place winners, Shades of the Past Top 25 and the I.S.C.A. Street Rod Of The Year eastern division. We were also chosen as a Featured Builder in the N.S.R.A Builders Showcase in Louisville Ky. in 2008, 2009 and again in 2010.

Over the years our projects have been featured in magazines such as Hot Rod, Rod and Custom, Street Rodder, Street Rod Builder, A.A.C.A. Quarterly, Chevy Rumble, American Rodder, Rod Action and featured on the cover of Super Rod.

We take pride in working closely with our customers, many of which we have done multiple projects for. Taking your ideas and dreams and turning them into a reality that can compete at any level or cosmetically updating your weekend driver are all projects we welcome and take great pride in.
