Pot O' Gold Kustoms owner Shannon Manley proudly displayed one of his shop’s masterpieces at SEMA 2024 — a 1951 Mercury Monterey sedan that had come to him poorly chopped, but had incredible potential. Changes were made to the metalwork, roof, windows and doors, and the heavenly body emerged.

Internally, Manley incorporated a Roadster Shop chassis, while under the hood, he opted for a 383 stroker engine with Holley Sniper fuel injection, and a 700R4 automatic transmission. Custom fabrications were added throughout the engine bay, giving this old Mercury a powerful new life.

Now it was time to give the interior a new look. To recapture the glory of the ’51, Manley selected Moore & Giles Tribeca Chianti. The deep red creates a vision of total luxury, blending seamlessly with the dashboard, gauges, and even the red Mercury emblem on the steering wheel. All in all, a perfect fusion.

Tribeca leather’s impressive color consistency, distinctive pebbled grain and smooth, protective finish makes it a superb option for automotive interiors.
