Early-season results are looking good for BILSTEIN-backed drivers competing in the Championship Off-Road National Tour, as summer short-course racing kicks into high gear.
BILSTEIN racers earned six top-5 finishes over two days of racing and all four sit in the top-10 in points in their respective classes after the season-opening Antigo Off-Road Nationals weekend, held June 5-6 at Antigo Lions Roaring Raceway in Wisconsin.
“The Antigo results were a great way to kick off another year of exciting Champ Off-Road racing,” said Steve von Seggern, Head of Marketing, Aftermarket, thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America Inc. “We congratulate all of our athletes on their strong performances, and appreciate them putting the quality and durability of our competition suspension components to the test.”
In the PRO4 category, Doug Mittag recorded second- and third-place finishes over the weekend and finds himself second in the points standings after the first of six Champ Off-Road events.
In the PRO2 class, Jerett Brooks registered second- and third-place finishes and sits second in the points, while Ryan Beat scored a 12th and a fifth and is ninth in points. Beat also participated in the PRO SPEC class.
Meanwhile, in PRO-LITE, Cole Mamer rebounded from a 16th-place finish on Saturday with a second-place run on Sunday, leaving him eighth in the points after the Antigo opening weekend.
The six-stop Championship Off-Road National Tour travels next to Crandon International Raceway in Crandon, Wisconsin for the Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run, set for June 26-27.
