TECUMSEH, MICHIGAN: ididit, LLC’s Right-Hand Drive Collapsible Tilt Column Shift Steering Column has been approved for use in Australia and New Zealand. Testing showed the fully collapsible system meets national safety guidelines for use in hot rods and custom builds in both countries.
The column features an indexable lower shift lever for ease of installation and 8-position tilt for driving comfort. The RHD setup is available in 30-, 33- and 35-inch configurations to fit a variety of GM, Ford and Chrysler models with 3- and 4-speed automatic transmissions. All RHD columns are available in paintable steel, chrome or black powder coating finishes.
The collapsible column accepts 1969-’94 GM steering wheels and adaptors, and a standard 3-7/8-inch wiring plug works with nearly all aftermarket wiring kits.
