The GTO Dream Giveaway presented by Ames Performance Engineering, a nationwide drawing sponsored by New Beginning Children's Homes–a charitable organization, has officially launched! One lucky winner will go home with a super-rare 1969 Ram Air GTO convertible! Also included in the grand-prize package is $15,000 towards the prize taxes for the winner.

The Grand Prize Vehicle: This 1969 Pontiac GTO convertible is one of the rarest Pontiacs from the original muscle-car era, as verified by Pontiac Historic Services. It is 1-of-249 GTOs produced in 1969 that is equipped with the 366hp Ram Air III V-8 engine and a four-speed manual transmission. It also comes with a factory Hurst shifter and Positraction. It features a Liberty Blue exterior with a blue interior and white convertible top. Extra-cost factory options include hideaway headlamps, hood tachometer, power steering, console and AM radio. It underwent a no-expense-spared restoration before arriving at the Dream Giveaway Garage.

Don Keefe, founding editor-in-chief of Poncho Perfection magazine and author of the book, How to Restore Your Pontiac GTO 1964-1974, had this to say about the 1969 Ram Air III GTO convertible: "With the same powertrain as one would find in a Judge combined with a more restrained exterior package, this 1969 Ram Air III GTO convertible makes for a sophisticated and very attractive performance machine—it's still very much a head turner but it does so with a more subtle persona."
