Edelbrock Surveys Auto Enthusiasts To Learn What Lockdown Projects They Are Working On

TORRANCE, CA – Edelbrock, a leading manufacturer and distributor of aftermarket performance parts has experienced a doubling of social media inquiries from customers and a 50% increase in website queries since the shutdown, according to their inside technical people.  To learn what projects their customers are working on during the shutdown, Edelbrock polled their customers on Instagram and Facebook.  These are the top four with the percentage of the total for each:

  1. Carburetors – 54%
  2. Manifolds – 33%
  3. Superchargers – 7%
  4. EFI – 6%

Given their price point and popularity, it is no surprise that Carburetors accounted for the lion’s share of projects.  “During the shutdown people are consuming more carbs at the dinner table at the same time they are replacing more carbs in their cars” says Don Barry, CEO of Edelbrock with a smile.  “But seriously, Edelbrock’s carburetors really do make older engines run faster, smoother, and better with improved throttle response, superior fuel atomization, and impressive top end performance. Plus, they are easy to tune.”

In second place were Manifolds at 33% of all projects submitted. Many of these were installed along with a new carburetor.  More top end power, broad torque curve, smoother running engine, and a great classic look were some of benefits that customers described.

At 7% and 6% respectively were EFI and Superchargers.  Edelbrock’s EFI kits allow drivers to adjust many engine variables remotely with blue tooth connectivity while supercharging is the most efficient way to add power.  For more information on these and all Edelbrock performance parts, please go to www.edelbrock.com.
