Sam Womer here. My brother and I built this 1938 Chevy Coupe in the early '60's. Hot rodding wasn't as easy as it is now. We made due with parts we had and made them work.

Window sign reads, "1938 Chevy Business Coupe built in 1960 by Roger and Sam Womer. Used engine and trans and diff from Dad's 1954 Hudson Hornet. 1937 Dodge front axle. Chrysler generator and heater and wiper motor. Homebuilt floor shifter. Bendix power brakes from 1954 Hudson. Also speedometer and dash from 54 Hudson car. Built in 1960. Last ran in 1966. 85 HP Chevy 6 replaced by 170 HP "Twin H" Hudson Hornet. Revived with lots of help from Tracy Potter and Ramey Womer."
