Vehicle Story

My name is Joe Gregoire I’m the owner/fabricator at Sub Zero Customs in Eagle River Alaska. I am currently building a shop/feature vehicle for for my business with the plan to compete in the battle of the builders at the SEMA show 2017.
Being that I’m a born and raised alaskan I thought it was only fitting that i build something that would fit into the “Alaskan” styling and could showcase some of my fabrication work. So I decided to build a 4x4 1950 chevy, One of the modifications that is going to set it apart from all the others out there will be the custom frame based off a 2004 chevy truck drivetrain which is 9” wider than the stock 1950 wheelbase. The body will get widened to be able to lay frame over 22” steelies and white walls with studded tires. Essentially making what is typically a S-10 frame swap to a actual full-size truck.
Some of the main modifications will be.
Widened body and fenders
Channeled body
PPG satin white paint
Twin turbo 5.3l LS motor
Full air ride
22” White wall studded tires
Full custom chassis
