Vehicle Story

John Currie (owner of RockJock 4x4 and John Currie Performance Group) ended up with this convertible Chevelle some years back via some vehicle horse trading. It was a very clean, mildly upgraded street piece at that time and was recently modernized in several areas this year (2024) by John to attend the Road to Reno event that saw John and his wife drive the car from southern California to Reno, Nevada for the Hot August Nights event.
This car features a 383 Chevy small block engine with FiTech fuel injection, 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission a 9" Ford rearend with John's own Currectrac billet control arms. Other features include big Wilwood brakes and American Racing 5-spoke wheels.
The interior maintains the original aqua color, bench seats front and rear and column automatic shifter. Interior upgrades include Dakota Digital gauges and a Vintage Air air-conditioning system.
