Vehicle Story
This short-bed custom 1984 Chevrolet K10 pickup underwent a complete frame-off nut-and-bolt restoration, with power provided by a Gen5 5.3 LT engine and built 6L80 automatic transmission, backed by a NP208 transfer case. The engine is equipped with a Holley mid-mount serpentine front runner and custom fabricated valve covers. The engine bay and Slosh Tubz have been completely smoothed and refined. A brand-new Johnson’s radiator has been used, along with dual electric fans and custom-built air intake. The body has been taken down to bare metal and completely reworked, including perfecting the door gaps for a high-end finish. The truck has been completely painted from top to bottom with PPG basecoat/clearcoat Cacti Green and accented by Pure White. It has all-new clear glass and Steele Rubber throughout, as well as all-new chrome and side trim from LMC Truck. The K10 rolls on a set of 17-inch Raceline Defender wheels wrapped in 35-inch Toyo Open Country M/T tires. The chassis is finished in Gloss black and has new brake lines, fuel lines and new body bushings. The truck sits on an Offroad Designs Soft Ride 4-inch lift, and Fox shocks with crossover steering. Both the front and rear axles were fitted with new finned diff covers. The underside of the truck was completely Raptor-lined and sound-deadened. The full custom interior including the Snowden Custom Seat is wrapped in RoadWire leather by Hill’s Hot Rods & JDGlassworks who also handled the complete Kicker audio system. The dash is finished off with a set of Dakota Digital RTX gauges and a new Gen-5 Vintage Air climate control system. Finishing out the bed is a Bedwood RetroLiner in their newest Phantom finish.
