Vehicle Story

I chased after this 1961 Ford Country Squire for several years until I finally acquired it in 2019. She started life as a Hertz Rental Car in Washington State. It was found and built in 2011 by Country Squire expert Art DeCaesar in Atlanta for a car dealer in Illinois. It went on to a car collector in northern California in 2016. It got posted on the internet for sale and using google alerts I found and bought her just minutes after being listed for sale. It was an easy purchase and transport through Intercity Lines. Per Art the Ash Wood pattern was one of the first replicated using the Hydro-Dip process. The 390 FE was rebuilt with RV Comp Cam, Edelbrock intake and 650 Holley. Art added "Knee Knocker" AC and power disc brakes. I added the American Racing Mags, BF Goodrich tires, Quickor Garage anti-sway bars and a "Chubby" Hula Girl on the dash. Up next is Waynesboro Upholstery custom seats using the original vinyl and fabric by George Folks. The Cruise-A-Matic transmission will soon be replaced with a 4R70W Ford overdrive for thus cross country trips. She turns more head and gets tons of thumbs up every time we have her on the road. She has made several trips to the Carlisle Ford National and was featured in a special indoor display in 2019.
