Vehicle Story

My 77 Trans Am was my first car ever. After getting married and having kids I decided to restore it to what I thought it should be.
My family and I now drive it on cruises and to a lot of the Midwest pro-touring events. I run a Pontiac 400 bored/stroked to 468 putting down 540hp and 600tq at the crank. People are always amazed that a steel block leaf spring car can out run full LS builds and run with big names like Ridetech and Detroit Speed on both autocross and road course. My current sponsors (Pro-TouringF-Body.com , Viking Shocks and Schumaker Performance) play a major role in my success.
Last year I placed in the top 15% of every race I attended and came home with a 1st place SCCA CAM Indy region win for the second year in a row (2nd place in 2014) as well as a top 10 in the CAM Challenge east. All this while running small (in comparison to most) RE-71 285/30/18 tires.
