Street Rod Designs

From a young age Ben Meissner spent most of his time either playing with Hot Wheels or creating all sorts of drawings and artwork. His focus turned specifically to drawing cars around age 12, inspired when he received his first CarToons magazine. The roots of SRD began later in the mid 1980's when in high school he began building and racing cars with friends, which also led him to drawing those friend's cars. In time Ben went on to graduate from a major university with a degree in Car/ Transportation Design, and while working in the design industry he also began doing hot rod renderings as a side gig. After a few years of that he went back to school for a degree in Street Rod Fabrication, including working as an intern at a custom car upholstery shop while in school. After graduating he began working as a fabricator and builder in rod shops, eventually pulling from all his talents transitioning to design and marketing manager for Speedtech Performance. He eventually went back to school a third time to become AWS certified in welding. By 2018 his side rendering business had grown so significantly it was time do it full-time and officially open Street Rod Designs, "SRD".
