Vehicle Story

In 2017 I bought the truck as a basket case of parts from Todd Tatro in Texas, he had started the project at a local shop they had done a lot of metal work on the cab and front sheet metal, the truck also came with two donor vehicles. I sent the truck directly to the shop that did the work for Todd, they ordered a new chassis from Art Morrison, a new Coyote 5.0 Ford Crate motor and a Tremec 6 speed manual transmission. They installed the Cab, motor, transmission, hood and front sheet metal.

I decided to bring the truck back to California to finish. I owned a body shop when I was younger so the journey began. I scrapped the hood, front fenders, core support, firewall, cab floor, doors, added new front cab corners and another cowl. The bed was made of quarter panels from a 1955 Ford panel truck with 1954 Ford station wagon taillights. The bed floor is made of Black Walnut with a maple inlay finished with automotive clear.
