Vehicle Story

After having won King of the Hammers EMC stock class 2 years in a row and EMC modified the following year in a custom Jeep LJ Unlimited, John Currie built a ground up custom race car for the 2013 EMC modified class. This custom build produced what is now referred to in the desert racing world as simply, "The 88 Car" (derived from it's competition number). The winningest car in King of the Hammers history.
Built by John Currie, Gerald Lee & Johnny Rocha in 2013, this car carried John Currie his son Brandon and other to numerous King of the Hammers victories!

John Currie reacquired the 88 car in the latter part of 2024 and completely restored it back to original trim (granted it's had a lot of drivetrain upgrades over the years).
