The mission of the V8 Speed & Resto Shop is simple… to connect people to the best times of their lives through things with wheels.

The V8 Speed & Resto Shop, located 1/2 hour away from St. Louis in Red Bud, IL, is a full service Classic Car and Muscle Car restoration shop with a talented staff of restoration technicians ready to build your dream car.

V8 Speed and Resto Shop provides a variety of services for classic car restoration, muscle car restoration, and automotive restoration.

Some of the services we offer include:

• Custom Car Design: The V8 Speed and Resto Shop can bring your custom dream car to life. We work with talented designers to create the unique vision and performance goals for your car, then set our talented team in motion to build it!
• Custom Metal Fabrication: From rust repair to complete panel replacement and fabrication, the V8 Speed and Resto Shop can do it all. We fabricate custom hoods, body modifications, consoles and interior parts, engine and under hood brackets, cross members, exhaust, and more.
• Bodywork and Paint: V8 Speed and Resto Shop can perform all of the bodywork and paint work necessary to restore your classic car or muscle car to its original condition, or create a complete one-of-a-kind custom hot rod from thin air. They have a team of experienced bodyworkers and painters who use the latest techniques and equipment to ensure that your car looks its best.
• Mechanical Work: V8 Speed and Resto Shop can also perform all of the mechanical work necessary to restore your classic car or muscle car to its original condition, or take it to a new level with modern engine and driveline integrations. They have a team of experienced mechanics who can rebuild engines, transmissions, and other mechanical components.
• Custom Interior and Upholstery Work: Our interior shop also creates custom consoles, custom seats and covers, door panels, headliners, lighting, custom audio, electronics installation, and just about anything you can think of.. in house. V8 Speed and Resto Shop can also restore the interior of your classic car or muscle car. They can reupholster seats, repair or replace carpeting, and restore other interior trim.
• Electrical Work: V8 Speed and Resto Shop can also perform electrical work on your classic car or muscle car. They can diagnose and repair electrical problems, and they can also upgrade the electrical system to modern standards.
• Engine Machining and Rebuilding: V8 Speed and Resto Shop’s in-house engine machine shop performs all kinds of engine rebuilding and assembly. Services include disassembly, cleaning, measuring, boring, honing, surfacing, balancing, valve and head work, assembly, break-in test running, and more.
• Documenting Your Restoration: V8 Speed and Resto Shop also documents your restoration process with photos and videos of your car throughout the restoration process, and they can also create a restoration report that details the work that was done.
